In this new construction home a young family wanted a classic, yet updated traditional home with a cohesive look throughout the two main levels.  The spaces needed to be elevated enough to able to entertain family, friends, and business associates, but still feel accessible for family gatherings with children. A focus on high quality materials, classic lines, with a tranquil color scheme that flowed throughout the ample home was key to meeting their goals. Twenty-first century integration with Google Home for motorized window treatments, appliances, and entryway lock systems were also important.   Ten foot ceilings and eight foot doorways provided an airy space on the main floor, but required careful attention to the scale of furnishings, cabinetry, and window treatments.  The end result is a beautiful and cohesive hi-tech, yet traditional home that is a showplace for entertaining family and friends.  The home is functional to withstand everyday life with young children while providing unique spaces for family members to be together or retreat.
